Here or Not they are always brightly shining at each of our tables. My candle says. Thoughts of you are gently wrapped in lttle prayers...
Your candle can say anything. Send to the groups you each belong to and please rsvp to this invite so the count can be kept track of easier. rsvp and state where you are from please....Event Extended through New Years Day... Thankyou

Our candle is still lit for our sailor, and all the other sailors not able to ring in the New Year at home. God bless them all!

Happy New Year,

We just back home from 9 days of a "whistle-stop" tour of Texas, visiting relatives. We had several Christmases in several cities. At each one, I lit my blue candle for our Sailor who wasn't home and a green candle for our good friend, Lori, who's in Iraq with the Army. All our relatives said special prayers for military personnel everywhere.

I got misty watching my brother light the green candle, since he's Army Reserves and spent 2004 in Afghanistan... he understood. Also, when a Navy-mom friend (who had her Sailor home) told me that her candle was for our son.

Our family has a new tradition for all the holidays to come. Thanks, ks.

My sailor was home for christmas,Our blue candle was lit by him for the blessing of having him this year and for the ones that could not be home. This is a awesome tradition and I know we can keep it going.

I did not know what the blue candle was and now that I do, I have blue candles at home and I will be burning them. My son goes back to camp pendleton on the jan. 4th and deployes sometime in the next 3 weeks.

This is a Sailor who was home for the holidays!! He attended our Southeast Texas get together with his mom and dad. (I'll let her post his name if she wants.) He lit a blue candle (for all our Sailors) and a gold candle (for the moms who have lost their children). We had a mom in attendance whose son passed away in August, 2008!! We had one wife (and sister) and baby, two dads, four moms, and two aunts, and of course, our SAILOR in attendance at our impromtu dinner!!!
