This is such a neat way to connect with our sailors! I talked to my son on Christmas Day and told him about this. I also talked to my daughter who's husband is in the Air Force and told her I was lighting a white candle for Luke too. I have & continue to pray for all the military personnel and their families. God Bless them all.

I told my son when he called yesterday about the blue candles and his response was awesome. I had one going at home and one at the nursing home where I went to be with my Dad. He is a Navy veteran and the reason my son is in the Navy. It was really cool. I took a picture so I can add it to my son's scrapbook.

Our candle was lit on Christmas day at noon and will remain lit. It was wonderful for my daughters to help with this and my 9 year old said something nice out loud to all of the sailors who could not be home. It really made me proud that she wanted to partake and thats she askes questions and wants to know.

i hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and please have a safe New Year

My Sailor asked me yesterday why I did have the blue candle lit since Christmas eve. I explained to him the meaning of this light which I placed right next to our Menorah. He was very moved by this and he also made a prayer for all of his fellows that could'nt make it home for the holidays and also for all the moms and families. G-d bless you all and have a Happy and Safe Holidays!!

Bought my candle in GTMO and lit it Xmas at noon, I am lighting it every day till I leave. Although, I spent this xmas away from home and with my daughter, their were alot of soldiers here away from their families. I cant count the number of soldiers I have HUGGED since I have been here. They just looked like they needed it and I was so proud to have been here to give them one. This has been one of the Best Christmas's Ever and these men and women made it so special for me and I hope I filled just a little void till they all come home. God Bless our Troops!
