We lit our candle for my son on Christmas Day. We also added a blue candle for my uncle (Lt. Cmdr. ret) and 4 white ones for our deceased military family members. We will keep them going thru the holidays. This is a wonderful way to remember our service members. Thank you!

I lit my candle on Christmas Eve, and again on Christmas Day. I love the idea of keeping it lit throughout the holidays. It makes me teary-eyed since my son is so far away, but it also helps me connect with the him in spirit, and to send best wishes out for all of our sailors and to pray for their safety.

Thank you so much for the Blue Candle idea. We lite our candle and we will still keep it burning. It was really hard yesterday w/o our Sailor. But we heard from him via phone. Thanks again for the wonderful idea. Love to all!!!!!

My son was here for Christmas this year and I explained about the candles and he thought it was so nice. He lit the candle before we sat down to eat dinner. I will try to post a picture soon.

I lite my candles on the morning of Christmas Eve and kept it burning until I left my home at 3 p.m. on Christmas Day. Then when I came back home around 1 a.m. I relite my candles and plan to burn them until 12 midnight January 1, 2009.

Friends invited me to have Christmas Dinner with all of their family. Their son-inlaw is in the Army posted at Ft. Knox, KY. was there with his wife and not yet two years old daughter. So he lite both candles then his father-inlaw said a beautiful prayer before we ate dinner. We all had a wonderful day and I hope all you had a wonderful day also.

My blue candle holds a place of honor this holy season. It is burning in honor of those who can't be home for the holidays .... and for their families who miss them ... we thank you all for your tremendous sacrifice....
