Wanted to let you all know that we have a small group from the NavyDads site who will be attending the event also. So, we'll have a few more dads attending to go along with those dads who are already planning to come.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all there!!!

I'm not sure of the timetable for the recruiters. I put the start time as 10 just to make sure we got the food out before they break for lunch...and to give us a little time to visit. Just come whenever you can...a little later will be fine. See you Saturday!

Hi I have a daughter in div.923 and I am excited to meet all of you and I want to suport the recruiters but I think the real fun will start after two p.m. I work friday night and I want to meet you all. Do we have to be there on time or ccan we come when ever? If we can come later that will give me time to catch a few zzzz before comming over. I will bring my daughter's favorate cassarole it's called sour krout cassarole and I would love to adopt a sailor and send a care box. This will be my first get-to gether.I am so proud of my daughter for the choice she has made to serve her country and I am willing to do what ever I can to make other sailor's lives more comfortable. GO NAVY!!!

Cortez Park is on the NE corner of 35th Ave and Dunlap. If you are coming from I-17 there is an entrance to the Park just before the Walgreens. If you turn onto 35th Ave there is an entrance just after Cortez Animal Clinic and also one at the north end of the Park.

Whew. Alright, back to reality. That's kinda what we Moms do, huh. We just take over, and let our imaginations run wild. Of course, of course, we are definitely the invited guests and we as Navy Moms would do absolutely nothing to jeopardize what our recruiters want this event to be. Healthy, fun, and informational. ....and that's all they are asking for from us "seasoned' more so than "me" Navy Moms. We'll have some fun, provide information to those new parents along with lots of hugs, and we'll have a blast. Once we have had one very successful picnic, way after 2:00, I'm sure, we'll pull out the Molly's Adopt a Sailor info, the banners, and whatever else we want, I can bring a sling shot water balloon (bought online of course) ....and we'll finish things out Navy Mom style. Maybe even some of Grandma's lemon bars. She's just sayin'!
(I couldn't help myself--don't worry, we are Moms, we'll do the right thing) Of course we want this to be fun, and want them to know they are gaining so many additional friends and family, this will be an experience of a lifetime for these young men and women. They've chosen to defend our freedom, and for that we are forever grateful. We can't wait to meet, mingle and greet the best of the best the NAVY has to offer. GO NAVY!!!

It's one of those 'road race' deals with check-points around the state . . . you get to see some GREAT classic cars, mostly convertibles:)!

And OOPS . . . sorry if I offended anyone with my joking around - I forget that not EVERYONE knows me . . . YET:)! I hope that someone will tell me how I can best help out when we get there . . . GIANT HUGS to all:)!

What is the "Copper State Rally"....MUST have something to do with cars if Bruce wants to go! I'll be at the park about 9:00-9:15 to meet the parents of the DEP group....

I think we really got off on the wrong foot here! We were invited to help support the new Navy parents and we just sort of took over. W/O even asking (my fault) we planned on the "Adopt a Sailor" table. Someone had a banner made, another mom wanted to pass out flyers for N4Ms.....this is a training session for them not a N4Ms party.....forgot we were invited guests instead of the organizers. If we can, lets all take a step back, let the recruiters take the lead and act like the guests we were intended to be. I truly appreciate all the energy and time everyone is contributing, but the fact remains, this event belongs to the Naval Recruiters. Lets give them as much support as possible!

Good Morning:)! Bruce read that the 'Copper State Rally' is April 4th and it starts in Phoenix . . . so we might just have to arrive early to check it out and then make our way to the park:)!
Don't worry I'll have the salsa with me:)! I won't commit to doing the PT with them, but I might be willing to walk a few laps during that time:)!
GIANT HUGS to all:)!
