Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

We invite you and your loved ones for Graduation Lunch and Dinner and during your stay here for any meal at

           Full Moon Restaurant or

           Flanagan's Restaurant and Grill


Full Moon has been open for 30 years and is the home of the Free Turkey Dinner on Thanksgiving for our troops.  With over 60,000 Free Turkey dinners given out to our Navy troops and their families and all other Military Personnel in the area (Ft. Sheridan) during the past 30 years.

Full Moon is open 24 hours with a full menu including the best breakfast in town, lunch and dinner.  

Flanagan's has been serving the area and the Navy for the past 23 years with many Navy events held here and home of the North Chicago Rotary Exchange Club.   

Flanagan's serves a full menu and a full bar featuring 32 craft beers and 25 flat screens. Flanagan's is open from 10AM to 1AM on weekdays and 7AM for breakfast and 2AM on the weekends.  

On Thursdays (day before PIR), come after 3PM for a Meet and Greet and get your free Proud Navy MOM and Navy DAD t-shirt.  Both restaurant's are located 1 mile from the Great Lakes Naval Base at the intersection of 137 (Buckley Rd) and Hwy 41.

For your free t-shirt, we carry most sizes but you may call ahead 1 week to get a custom size.  Free T-Shirts will be only given at Flanagan's.  Please call at 847-689-9062.

We are located in walking distance from Great Lakes Motel, Red Carpet Inn, Day's Inn and Sleep Inn and a mile from Fountain Square Hotels.  

You're home away from home!

We are also offering Steak and Lobster for the Navy Graduate for $12.95 (originally $23.95).  

Starting soon, hopefully this week, we will start our free appetizer buffet during the Meet & Greet on day before PIR.  Please call ahead at 847-689-9062 to verify.  

We are also setting up at Full Moon a free breakfast for the Sailors on Saturday Morning.  Please also contact us here at Flanagan's for more information at 847-689-9062.

Both restaurants are located few minutes from the base and within walking distance from Red Carpet Inn, Days Inn, Great Lakes Motel and Sleep Inn.  Also, a few minutes drive from the Fountain Square hotels and Navy Lodge.

We have a full menu at both restaurants.  

For Thanksgiving, we will be offering a buffet at Flanagan's and our annual free Turkey Dinner at Full Moon Restaurant.

We will be organizing a new Meet & Greet starting this Thursday with new parents and supporters.

The Meet and Greet is from 5-9 or 10pm.  

We are located less than 5 minutes from the Marriott hotel in Waukegan and a few minutes from the Navy Base.

How far are you from Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Waukegan?  We have PIR on 11/22.  How long are you open for Meed and Greet? Flight comes in later that evening
