Kentucky Navy Family Get together

Lets get together before the holidays and catch up on what's going to happen during the holidays and enjoy some friendship and fellowship. Lets have a great time! A good time to get some ideas on what we can do special for our sailors for their coming home, and a good time for ideas to the ones that can not make it home for the holidays.

Unfort. My husband does not feel comfy with me on the back roads. I am hoping that we can meet again. My family here said "Welcome to KY". it could be sunny one place, snowing around the holler and the bend. I am very saddened that I will not get to meet each and every one of you.... But I am a Floridian transplant that hasn't drove on snow since I was a teen ager growing up in Michigan....

Sorry to back out at the last minute folks. But I am staying put due to the weather. It's tooo cold to make that drive alone.

We wanted to be there but we are still here at GL and will not make it back in time. It's about a 7 hour drive from here and will be longer since we have our 3 grand babies with us. Out Sailor's PIR was 12/05/08 and it was awsome! we didn't even know if she would be able to have a PIR because she didn't pass her final PFA until 12/01/08. Please let me know when the next time will be and we'll try to make it.

Hi All,, At this point it doesn't look as if I will be there (and that breaks my heart, I'm only 2 hrs. away,) but my Mom lives with me and she is not feeling well,,my sailor's twin bro. lives in Lexington and I told him to stop by there just to say hi,,even if he's not a mom, or GF or whatever,,I told him I didn't think he would be ran off,,lol,,My prayers to you all for a safe trip and a joyous day,,Huggzz,,Erelene

I just got the call from my son that he is at the airport waiting for his flight to Chicago. I'm ready for a support group! My husband and I will be at Cracker Barrel on Sunday. We are looking forward to it.
