Texas Mom's Shopping Day

We have so many new Texas Mom's that we thought we'd plan a kind of informal meet and greet for anyone who can make it. (Sorry for the short notice--like I said very informal.)

Old Town Spring Shopping Day (Spring, TX off I-45) followed by dinner in the Woodlands.

Old Town Spring is kind of quaint little shopping experience to get some specialty gift items. There are a few places for lunch--although not really large enough for a group, so we'd suggest eating lunch in smaller groups.

The Woodland's Mall is just North of Old Town Spring--if you decide you want a more traditional shopping experience for your afternoon. We can meet for dinner at a restaurant there--which before we can make arrangements we'd need a tennative count on who would be able to make it.

Hi All,
Those of you planning on attending we are trying to come up with a good meeting location. I've checked with some restaurants but can't find one open in the morning there. We usually park on the backside of town (if you look at the map posted on their website it's the one at the bottom.) We drive down Gentry, turn right on Preston and turn right at the end of the street to access that parking noted on the map. If you walk back up preston there are some covered walkways back to the left on Gentry.
I'm thinking around 'gentry square' #315 on the map. What do you say we meet there at 10:00 AM

Hey, everything is bigger in Texas...(ncluding me! I've gained 20 pounds since we moved here...all that southern cooking! You would be just another wonderful addition!

Notice that the three most talkative ones on here have already met and done this!! That is just to let you newcomers KNOW how much FUN it is!!!!

We can eat whenever we want. Let's keep everything open. Old Town Spring is really a couple of hours and your done kind of place. We can eat there or move to the Woodlands for lunch and those who want to can leave the rest can continue to shop wherever they want. The Woodlands is a very short drive - maybe 15 minutes up the road.

I will be at Brenda Sue's house by 7:30 am. CCR, not sure what the day will hold, but I can assure you that I will have eatten alot before that LATE lunch time. I was hoping to be back in Lake Charles before dark. I live 3 hours from there.

K, PM me with your cell so we can hook up. I mostly will be helping my parents walk (you know how it is) but they SOOOOOOOOOO need to get out and see something great like this. I've already printed out the maps, pages of shops, directions, etc. I'll be at my parents at 10, I'll leave my house at 7:30, and we should be there at 11:30. Will we all be able to sit somewhere at have coffee and eat around 2? I see where everyone will be in woodland hills at 3 for a late lunch.
talked to the visitors bureau in old spring town and they said there are benches along gentry and it should be ok, plus she told us to park at that lot by 315 you talk about on the descript.
