Texas Mom's Shopping Day

We have so many new Texas Mom's that we thought we'd plan a kind of informal meet and greet for anyone who can make it. (Sorry for the short notice--like I said very informal.)

Old Town Spring Shopping Day (Spring, TX off I-45) followed by dinner in the Woodlands.

Old Town Spring is kind of quaint little shopping experience to get some specialty gift items. There are a few places for lunch--although not really large enough for a group, so we'd suggest eating lunch in smaller groups.

The Woodland's Mall is just North of Old Town Spring--if you decide you want a more traditional shopping experience for your afternoon. We can meet for dinner at a restaurant there--which before we can make arrangements we'd need a tennative count on who would be able to make it.

Hi All,
Those of you planning on attending we are trying to come up with a good meeting location. I've checked with some restaurants but can't find one open in the morning there. We usually park on the backside of town (if you look at the map posted on their website it's the one at the bottom.) We drive down Gentry, turn right on Preston and turn right at the end of the street to access that parking noted on the map. If you walk back up preston there are some covered walkways back to the left on Gentry.
I'm thinking around 'gentry square' #315 on the map. What do you say we meet there at 10:00 AM

It is still North of Bush, approx 15 miles North of the airport on 45. Are you going to come? PLEASE??

Brenda is doing a good job. Yes, the remaining day is sort of play it by ear, as I wasn't sure how long everyone would want to hang around in Old Town Spring. My thoughts were spend morning (10 am) through lunch (12:30 - 1:ish) then go over to the woodlands. I haven't made any dinner reservations not knowing how many we were having attend. My husband will be with me (I think) as I don't drive after dark and didn't want to come home if we were staying through dinner.

There's lots of restaruants in the area around the Woodlands mall and if there's only 8 or so of us, I'm sure if we go a little early we can score a table. It didn't sound like everyone was staying the whole day.

I'm usually a pretty precise planner, but I was trying to keep this kind of loose so we could just take it as it comes. It should be fun. Old Town Spring has different things going on during the day (carolers at 1:00 I think, I'll have to check the schedule.)

I hope this sounds good to all. We can shore it up when we meet. I have the details of where in a posting below and tried to send everyone participating a message.

Moms - get with Coyote down there and ask her specifics!! We would LOVE to have you all come - even if just for a little while!!
She did post some beginning times for us!! I think the rest of the day may just be "play it by ear" - whatever we decide to do!!

Sounds like a good idea. I would love to attend, but we attend church on saturday around 12 noon, we also keep the sabbath day from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Sat., which means that I wouldn't be able to participate unless you all are still doing something around 6p.m. on Saturday. What time are you all going to the Woodlands. I would love take part in that activity since I love to shop.

Are any of you moms interested in one of the cookbooks put together by the moms on this website? I ordered a few extra and could bring one to you Saturday!! They are $18 each.
