Tucson, Arizona Potluck Get-Together

Potluck get-together in Tucson . . . all are welcome:)!

Directions:
From I-19, Valencia exit, east to 12th Ave., north on 12th Ave to Santa Rosa, about 7 blocks. The park is on the west side of the street.

Major cross streets: One block east of I-19; One block south of Drexel; Seven blocks north of Valencia.

Melissa's going to be there at 10:30am. The DEPPERS and recruits and their families will be there at 9:00am. We are planning on eating at 11:00am. The Navy will be providing Eegee's Submarine sandwiches and Eegee's drinks. They will supply all necessary eating/serving utensils and tablecloths. We may want to follow Melissa's lead and bring some folding chairs . . . Just in case!!!

I'm hoping for you too . . .
I know that I'm trying to get as many hours as I can over the holidays (which may conflict with Bryan being home - HA, as if he'll be spend any time here at the house anyway!) . . . there's certainly more places I'd like to go next year than there will be funds available for travel . . .
Oh, well . . . we do what we can, meet when we can, and care about each other always:)! GIANT HUGS to all:)!

Marilyn, I know exactly what you mean . . . we have so many new members that I have a hard time keeping everyone straight - I really need to make my 'cheat sheets' . . .

I would love to bring my mom Joyce, But I lost her in 1995. All is good tho. She had a long battle with cancer.

This is for any and every family member (or friend) that you'd like to bring - that's why we're having it at the park . . . there's also a decent playground and I may even share it with any kids that come - LOL:)!

Carol, Gilbert is in the Phoenix area - about an hour and a half from me . . . not TOO far to drive to meet with NFMs:)!

Teresa, you probably won't even need your jacket - LOL:)! I may, because I have really 'thin' blood . . . the only part of me that's really thin, hee-hee:)!

Jackie, bring your mom . . . I'll even make her a birthday cake:)!

Heloisa, what an exciting thing for you to do with your daughter . . . have a WONDERFUL trip:)!

Thanks Melissa! I will try, Hubby and I just went over our finances and are trying to figure out where all of our extra money is going.We are going to sit down and figure out a budget. I sure would like to come tho. I am planning on going to MN in May for my dad's 90th birthday, I have to make it there.

Hi, Joyce, ow are you doing?
Unfortunately, I will be just arriving from Washington DC. My oldest daughter is begging me to go to the inauguration with her, and since I have never been to the Capital, we'll be also touring ll the historic places.
I hope all of you will enjoy this event.

I hope you can make it Jackie - I have 3 guest rooms, a car and don't worry about your meals......if you can find a good fare into Phx, I can pick you up there!
