Hi everyone, my son left for boot camp on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Have not written any letters because I don’t know my sons ship name etc. When or where can I get this information and when can I find out when he will graduate to bring planning our visit. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all, hope all is well. My husband left for boot camp last Wednesday. I did receive a call when he got to Chicago. How soon would I receive a letter?

Our daughter is just finishing her 2nd year as an enlisted sailor. Now she tells us she wants to go for a "paid administrative leave" so she can attend college next fall (which would start just shy of finishing her 3rd year in the Navy). Her details are nebulous to us parents.

Any advice/clarification on what options sailors have BEFORE their contract is up as far as taking time out to start college and then hopefully enter the officer track?

My SIL is (Lord willing!) set to graduate OCS on October 20. I would appreciate any ideas on CANDIO boxes, what to wear, the HI MOM event, gift suggestions, etc. Any information is appreciated. We already have our reservation at the Navy Lodge and our airline tickets that can be changed if needed. Thanks in advance!

Heard from the boy child yesterday - ASMOd at the beginning of Wk7. Stress fractures in shin(s). Poor kid is super tall and not a regular runner so I suspect it's that - but no telling, really. Anyway, any advice on how long this would usually take at the RCU for this injury? He said he'd try to call later this week with more info if he can. We only got like 30 seconds to talk. @patti - wasn't this the same with your kid?

I did get to talk to him and tell him to go back to medic and say he does not have white coat syndrome he heard that from me and i am not a dr or nurse. Hopefully they will accept that. I dont know why i even said that! I cant believe something like that. But he arrived at RCU today, blood pressure went down but now theyre doing more tests. Please keep him in prayers.
