I was just wandering if anyone knows if there are agencies or people out there who specifically offer to help foster pets while sailors are deployed? My son will be heading out in July for a month and has two large dogs who will need to be cared for. He would prefer that they would be able to stay together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My son is currently in A school and looked online and saw his orders are for Hawaii. He still has over a month left at A school. He intends to get married when he comes home. Does anyone know if those orders are considered his "hard orders" or if when he does get married that she will be able to go with him?

Any advice or anything on any of this is much appreciated.

Is that usual? My husband has been on s security hold for a long time. We aren't sure why it has been since October since graduating a school but still nothing. He hasn't done one bad thing in his life! He's a great guy. He was recently told he now may get orders for his job but just won't be able to do some of the things needed with a security clearance. As a wife, I'm relieved he may get orders but I'm setting myself up for disappointment. Is this normal for them to give orders under this…

Hi everyone, my sailor just got rerated to Logistic Specialist and will be going to Meridian A School for training. Other than that, we have no information about how it works or how long will he be at each place. Does anyone have any information about LS? It would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone,

My daughter has PIR in a couple of weeks and goes to A school the next day in Virginia. As far as the dormitories are concerned, what is provided regarding sheets, blankets, towels. Also, can she bring her own toiletries with her such a manicure set, medicated face wash and hair conditioners, or would I have to send that after she gets to Virginia? I'm going to PIR and will have an opportunity to give her a small bag containing these items. Does anyone have any…
