Navy For Moms

Navy Moms!
I am so excited. :)
This is the best snowball ever! I’ve been so curious…how did you find out about our community? Some moms have told me about the http://www.nstc.navy.mil/rtcgl/family/index.html site… Is that were you found us... or was it through another source? Thank you!

UPDATE 4/20/2008: Hi Everyone! I brought this forward because I really want to know! :) How did you find out about us?!

My son's recruiter told him about info on the web and he was a computer junky while he was looking up information for himself he told me about a site I could find out information on after he left, so I wouldn't ask him a million questions. lol
i do that anyway in fact the more i write the more questions I put in the letters. This is the most informative site I have ever visited. Mom's are great and always willing to help each other out.

My son's recruiter gave me the website info and suggested I check it out when my son was deployed to Iraq...thanks, Josh! It was just what i needed!

My son and daughter came home from the recruiters and told me about this site. The recuirters told them to "tell your mom about this site". They pushed me to get on it several times.. I finally did so in honor of them both leaving for Great Lakes basic training.

I found out about this site via an advertisement on tv. I mentioned it to my son when he called the other day and he thought this was great! He deploys to Iraq on 8/16/09, his third trip. I'll be on here a lot I already know!!! Thank you.

I got the information from my son's recruiter (yep, he's one of the "good" ones!) This site has really helped me many many times when I have been worried about either my son, or things going on in the Navy, or his sailor pals, etc. etc. Thank God for this site! Couldn't manage without it! (And my son is lovin' the USN!!! Goooo Sailors!)

I found you through a TV commercial that aired just before my son left for Boot Camp. It couldn't have come at a more appropraite time. Funny thing is that I never saw it again. I guess it was "meant to be."

hi Yes it is great how we do find out information at the appropiate time. Lesli

Our son has been in the Navy 13 years and we just found out about this site last summer. Joined the minute I saw it.
Last summer I found a mailing that my father-in-law received promoting it.
This was just before he was promoted to Chief last Fall. It was a great resource in trying to find out about the whole Chief process, as we all know how "easy" it is getting info from our sailors.
It is a great site and very addictive!
