How many Navy schools in Goose Creek?

My son will be going to nuke school when he graduates from B Camp, not sure all the details yet, however, will all our sailors that go to Goose Creek be going to Nuke School? new at this....LOL :)

yes this is only a school for nukes, ET EM and MM
they each hace A school the same time but each of the rates have a diff type of school, Please see the nuke mom page for info on the types of things they learn and other info that pertains to the school

My dad retired in Goose Creek in '74. We were stationed there twice, and they loved it so much they chose to retire there just as I was starting high school. The base in Goose Creek is the Naval Weapons Station, and their main function is Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC), Nuclear Power Training Unit, Propulsion Facility, and Border Patrol satellite academy. I guess what type of training he gets there will depend on his job.

If you have an opportunity to visit your son while he is there in A school, I highly recommend it. Goose Creek is basically a Charleston "suburb" (although it is an established city of it's own), and there is so much to do and see in Charleston!

My daugher is in Goose Creek. She really likes it there. She has alot of friends and she says the base is huge with tons of stuff to do. Not that she gets any free time.LOL.
