Navy For Moms

Should we plan a "get together" for families of those in division 313/ship 14?

From what I heard, the guys in 313 are a tight group that stick together. Let's brainstorm about what, when and where because we all know why.

I hope Curtis made it home safely, as well as Kenny.Having them home is really something to be Thankful for!!!! Not sure if any of the other guys were planning on making it.I guess everyone is busy cooking. We are having semi home- cooked.I am doing a turkey. But have some help from other friends( Sarah Lee,honey-baked ham store, etc...) with the rest of it.Our kitchen dining area is still not back together.I can't seem to light a fire under Tom. We may be eating on our laps because he is running out of time.
The paint job looks good So, that is what is important.

Happy Thanksgiving to my wonderful N4M friends and their families.

I have all this with the holidays and my baby preparing to leave for Korea in Feb. I am so blessed and thankful that I will see him Thanksgiving and Christmas, then who knows when. I know you are there or have been there so your support is needed, critical and wanted so please dont leave me now.

Pam, when are you moving and send me your address on PM, please. Pls let me know where and how Curtis and the girls are doing.

Vicky, how are you holding up in Somerset? Please tell us what Jesse is up to these days. I miss hearing what his latest is.

Blair, are we going to blessed with pics of the grandbaby? I want to know how Eric is doing. I think he is in San Diego, right? Ken wanted to call to connect but lost Eric's number. Shelly, what is up with your two SAILORS, you must be able to write a book about what all they are doing today. Please let us know about your shows and how you are doing.

Holly, no doubt you are busy with school being back in session so please give us an update when you can. Just so you know that we are here and love to hear from you.

Hi All and Happy Thanksgiving,

Haven't been on here in ages. Where does the time go?

Eric is now in Norfolk and has joined the fleet and his carrier, USS Harry S. Truman. He has actually only been on it for a few days as it was underway when he arrived in town. He was been lucky to be able to stay at Whitney's house, but will move permanently onto the ship this Monday. They are deploying for most of Dec so unfortunately he won't be coming home for the holidays. Guess I will stock up on those blue candles again this year!

He made a change in his automobile just before going to San Diego and wanted to have his new car in Norfolk, so he and his Dad made the trek across country so he would have the car with him. Well... that hurricane blew into town the first week there and caused all kinds of havoc. Eric was driving home to Whitney's house int he downpour and a huge tree fell across all 4 lanes of the road and he couldn't stop to avoid it. Needless to say, the car is now gone! It was a heartbreak to know that the brand new car was now totalled, but Eric walked away without a scratch, which was a miracle itself. Looks like he will be walking for awhile, but his ship is set to deploy for 8+ mos in April or thereabouts so he can worry about transportation when he gets back.

Little Brooke is now 2 months old and doing great. Her daddy has also been underway quite a bit this last month or so and more scheduled in Dec. We are trying to figure out how to make a move to Virginia to be close to them. Dana might be retiring in the spring, so guess that will be our timeline. Hopefully the housing market picks up so we can sell our house here. Already have my eye on a house out there that we saw on our last trip! lol

Well enough for now. Hope everyone has a very nice Thanksgiving! I know I am very grateful this year!

Hello friends and Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all are spending precious time with your families. Curtis came in town last Saturday. It is so good to have him home. Kaity is in NC with her boyfriends family for the holidays, so we are missing her today. It is good to hear from everyone today!! I am trying to get some pictures to download...hopefully later today or tomorrow. Cant believe our guys are starting their deployments....Monica and Blair, I am definitely here for you both. Curtis should also be deploying some time this spring. We are still in Florida and will probably make our move to Alabama this March. Will keep you all posted.
Take care....

Hi there moms,

Blair, that is wonderful news to hear about Eric (proud mom, no doubt) and thankful that he walked away from the accident without a scratch. Oh my goodness, Brooke is a doll but with Whitney as mommy, I expected nothing less. Move to Virginia - wow, I was not expecting that but I would do the same. Seems to be a homestead for your children serving our country and there are a lot of beautiful places there. Good luck to you and please keep us informed.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday with family and friends.

Shelley, it is good to hear from you. It has been awhile but glad to know that all is well. Please send us new pics of Tristin.

Vicky, Jacqueline, Pam and Holly............how was your holiday?

I got home from Chicago on Tue evening in time to see my Kenyn get home on Wed. He is here now playing on the xbox with brother. It has been a good and relaxing visit. He is heading bcak to San Diego tomorrow and I catch a flight on Monday to Switzerland. Kenny and I get back almost the same time for the Christmas holiday. He get in Dec 14 and I return Dec 15 - what a holiday it will be!

Love to all and pics to come soon - promise.

How bazaar, I posted a reply last night and checked this evening on all of you but didnt see my posting on the page :(

Basically what I said was that we had a wonderful holiday dinner and yes, Kenny was home, thank goodness. I got home from Chicago on Tue, baked on Wed and cooked dinner on Thu while playing games with all the kids. I am up late tonight, finalizing my packing for Switzerland, leaving tomorrow. I will be home home Dec with no more travel plans until Chicago Jan 3 comes up.

Blair, I love the pics of Brooke (what a doll baby). Can't say that I blame you for not wanting to be close to her and your kids. And can't think of what Cali has to offer that would keep you here - not so good my friend. Glad to hear that Eric wasnt hurt in that crash - that was horrible but could have been worse.

Shelley, send us pics of that darling grandson of yours.

Pam, I am so happy for you but wish it was me moving :( please send my love and best to Curtis. To think that I will see Kenny on Christmas then not again for 8mos breaks my heart.....I feel a part of me dying inside.

Jacqueline, please let us know how the beach house and all the new additions to the family are doing. I am so happy for you!

Vicky, we want to hear the latest on Jesse, so please check in. I miss you.

Take good care. Pics from Switzerland to come your way soon. Be safe and stay war, everyone.

Hi all.
Monica, the pics from Switzerland were outstanding. What a wonderland.
Our Thanksgiving was quiet. We had our pic taken with me holding Matt's pic. That was the extent of us being together for the holiday. (ha ha)
One more week and I will be out for 2 weeks. I am looking forward to that.
I was sick with a sinus infection just before Thanksgiving. Tom has been sick ever since Thanksgiving with the flu and/or something. He is on antibiotics. Thought he was better, then he started running a fever again Thursday.

I have a torn tendon in my elbow, and am unable to carry of lift anything with my left arm. ( I'm left handed.) Getting old is not all it's cracked up to be. :)
I hired someone to put up our outside decorations. At least we will give the impression that we are ready for the season.
Matt won't be home until the 29th of Dec. I go back to work on the 3rd of Jan. Anyway, we have opted not to put up our big tree this year. That decision was made before I tore the tendon. So, things do have a way of working out.
Where is everyone? Please post and let us know how you are...

Pam, Let us hear all about your holiday with Curtis.

Love to all of my wonderful support system.

Hi Moms.......I didnt get an email that anyone had posted till Holly's post. Dont know why. I am still on N4M's daily. The Boot Camp and Pensacola A-School Group keep me very busy. Plus a lot of us Moms have moved over to facebook also. Yes the new grand baby arrived. His name is James Levi(we call him Levi). He arrived Oct21st making my 6th grandchild 3rd grandson. James & Paige's baby is due Feb 21st. They made it home for Thanksgiving and will be in on the 23rd for Christmas. James will be preparing for deployment next Summer. He will be going out on different ships for the next 7 months on training. It will be 2-4 weeks out 1 week back 2-4 weeks out 1 week back. Since it is training they are going to do their best to have him on land for Bently's arrival in Feb. Once James is deployed we will be moving Paige and the baby back to MO for the duration.
I am still flipping back and forth between the 2 homes. Also doing a lot of hunting with the hubby. I am really hoping to be able to spend some time after the 1st, in Florida. We have a big job starting in Homestead!
Monica....wow what a traveler you are. I am glad you got to see Kenny for Thanksgiving. Will he be home for Christmas.

Holly.....good grief this sure has been a bad yr for you with injuries and illness! Getting older sure bites sometimes!

Pam....wow you stay busy lady! Moving to Alabama? Arent you going to miss Florida? LOVED the family picture. I cant get all mine together at one time to get one taken!

oH my goodness...I just typed a bunch on here then my internet quit working! Aggrevated! We had a good time with Curtis visiting for the past two weeks. We took him to the airport today for his long journey back to Hawaii. I think he got sick while he was here because he did not have a cough when he came here. Tomorrow is our children's musical at our church. It is a big production for the 2nd thru 5th graders. Curtis and Kaity, both, were involved when they were younger and now is Madison's turn. I believe our church is going to streamline it on the church website. If you are interested in watching, go to www.fbcjax.com. The musical starts at 6pm eastern time and it is called "Prime Time Christmas". I am on the production crew and have been busy this weekend with rehearsals. Hope everyone is doing well. I am posting a pic of our family at Thanksgiving this year (minus Kaity, she was in NC).
Take care....
Pam

My Navy baby is home. Blair, we would just LOVE to have you and Dana over if you have time. Ken and I would really like to see you. Let me know if you have time.

Pam, am so happy for you as I think moving is exciting. You might see that as crazy since most people think my business travel is awesome but I dont like living out of a suitcase. Tell Curtis Aloha from me and to send me an email or text to say hi. I would have sent him a card but no addressee.....no cardee ;)

Holly, you will be working on a wedding soon, huh? Sorry to hear about the injury and sickness. Your hubby as been sick way too long. You two take good care of each other. Sounds like your holiday is starting a little later then some but so glad to hear your guy will be home. Send us pics.

Vicky, where are you? I hope that all is well. Miss getting your updates about Jesse so please drop a line when you can.

Shelley, so happy for you knowing your kiddos were home for Thanksgiving.

Jacqueline, the grandbaby is beautiful. keep us posted on the Feb baby. HUNTING, are you serious? You desire the Wife of the Year Award! I know what you mean about living from house to house. I love from house to hotel an find my suitcase is more like my dresser anymore.
