Navy For Moms

Hey everyone, my son's PIR date was 10/3 and it was great. I also have a son that just moved to Vermont! WoW! Empty nest is not fun.
All of this travel has given me the idea of doing a project with my second grade class to see how many places we can get post cards from. If you or someone you know enjoy doing this type of thing will you send or ask them to send post cards to my class? My classroom web site is: http://www.myteacherpages.com/webpages/VWood/
The school address is on that home page.

This is a great project! Our homeschool group did it last year! We ended up with post cards from nearly every state, plus England, Scotland, Germany, and South Korea. I'll see what I can round up for you!!

Thanks so much! Every time we get a new card the kids get excited and we look the state up on the internet. I appreciate the help and encouraging comments.
My older son homeschooled for High School. It was a challenge, but fun and it was a good choice for him. My hat is off to homeschooling families, it is a huge responsibility, but it can be such a blessing, as well. Zak went to public school, he is too much like his mom, we tended to clash a little more than I did with David. :o)

Wonderful post cards! Thanks sooo much. We got about 8-10 cards today and had agreat time looking on the internet for more information. I love the scenery in Washington and Oregon. It is absolutely breathtaking. I think we may do a volcano for a science activity. Cool!

:) I know this may sound silly- but if you have time can you take a photo of the the board of postcards when it's all finished? I would love to see how it turned out! :)

I am glad it's turning out so well!
