Navy For Moms

My son left on 9/29 wondering if theres any one else whos child arrived in GL on that date. Havent heard anything since then. I tell you this is the hardest thing ive ever done in my years of parenting. This site is great! helps to see others going through the same things.

I was talking to my girlfriend who's son has been in for almost a year and she has promised is does get better. I will let you know when I hear from him. Did your son go in on the buddy system? I know there were a couple of guys who did that when my son joined.

Dont worry! you will hear from him soon. No my son didnt go in on the buddy system the neighbor boy just heard he was going in and decided he needed to do something with his life too so he went and signed up.
I also have heard from some friends that the first couple weeks are really hard on them but that it does get better.

Hi Lorrie. You say your son is in div 200...I just found this site and my son arrived in GL on the 25th....I got letter yesterday he's in Div 002...USS enterprise...do you think our son's are together?

Reply to This

Hi CM, my son is on the USS Roosevelt. he arrived in GL on the 29th, Im really all new to this so Im not sure, how the div and ships work? so who know they might be.
Thanks so very much, Lorrie for responding. I also got a note from parents that have a son in my son's division...that was very cool. I'm pretty sure if our kids can make it thru the next couple of weeks everything will fall into place...but I remain nervous nelly right now. Because I know they are going thru some tough times in the first few weeks. Nice to have this web site to vent on though. It helps the families. Probably not so much the recruits, but we need our share of help too.... :-)
