Navy For Moms

I just got a letter from my son today and there is this one line that makes me chuckle over and over again...I thought it might be fun to share these if anyone else has any. I considered putting it in context for ya'll but thought it wouldn't be as funny. So, in David Letterman style, I will start with my so far funniest line home from my son was:

"I guess not everybody appreciates ninjas."

Martha,

I know exactly what you went through. My son started BC on 9/9/09 and the whole night before, I cried and cried. Even on the way home after dropping him off, I cried for many hours and days afterward. Then I found this site. TY N4M! :o) My son graduates 11/6/09 and is a Grad n Go, so only a few hours with him, then hes gone again. :o( Anything is better than nothing though. I miss him dearly!

My son Corey writes "Great news I'll be able to call you this week. Great news I graduate March 20th. Oh more great news... I just saved a bundle of money on car insurance by switching to Geico."! Yep thats My Corey. I think he'll be just fine!

My oldest son just PIR'd last Friday. After the ceremony we picked him up for liberty. He looked tired, (had only 6 hrs sleep after battle stations the night before) but happy he had made it through and anxious to get started at A school. He was sharing stories about his "ordeal" when I noticed his younger brother (who is on DEP and will leave for BC in 2 mos.) got real quiet. He says... "Why don't you guys just take me out and shoot me now?!!!"

LOL...and I'm SURE the DEPPER meant every word!!! LOL

very funny. My son has a quirky sense of humor. I hope he doesn't lose his sense of humor in the Navy.

I got a letter today and the two funniest things in there are...
1. Hey mom this is your new son.... but dont worry i dont love you any different.
2. The food here is delicious .... but not as good as your meatloaf.

"chief is f$#*&$# hardcore and very fluent in profanity"

I couldn't stop laughing, i told him to hang in there and to make sure he keeps his profanity quiet because i doubt chief approve of that!

You might want to change your name if it is the same last name as your sailor's. The RDC's read N4M's and do ask questions to their recruits..."ok, which Bob has a mom on N4M".....
