Navy For Moms

Hi, my daughter is on this ship and I know there are sevral others there with her. I'm looking for anyone who my have sons, daughter and or others there too. She is 23 seconds over on her run test and is working to meet the required time. All through high school she had a hard time opening up to others and making friends but times have changed and so has she. She said she has made lots of new friends in the Navy and in this Division. If you have someone on this ship and division I'd love to chat with you. Heather said that some of her new friends call her Brownie since they only use last names and hers is Brown. She has grown so much since she has been in BC and I would like to thank your son and or daughter for being so nice to her. I've only seen 1 group for recruits in FIT and not much activity there. I know they're like me and so worried and wish they could just speak to their reruit.

My son happened to be very popular due to sports but he is a great kid all around. But guess what, he told me their are no friends better than the friends you meet & trust in BC. He said Mom I feel bad for saying this but he said it is just different. He said I know these guys would take a bullet for me where the others would be scared and run. He said he would give his life to save another but that is what they are taught, who to trust and who to be aware of. BC made my son a much different person, he is just so awesome. He will stop and run back and open a door for a pregnant woman or anyone elderly. He would have done this before but now it is instinctive. There are 4 of them that went to Milwaulkee for overnight Liberty, said they ran into an old man who was trying to move a mattress. The man actually asked them to help him, they said no problem, the man was so grateful. Brett said mom we found out later he is an retired Sailor and told them stories they very much enjoyed. Hell, my son would have been bored to tears if this was last year. Get my point, these are friends for life!! As you will see when you get more and more friends on here, we becme more like family than friends. Welcome !

Hi Joyce
My son Scott is in div 951 but on ship 6 (USS Constitution) His PIR is 11/07. When is your daughters PIR?

Reply to This

Not sure if she will get to participate in PIR even when she passes her pt run test. She just called from the NEX out of the blue. I'm still so excited and it's been 2 hours since we spoke, lol. When she called she was with a new friend. So if anyone knows a family from Georgia with a daughter in FIT program on Ship 06 Division 2347 I would love to talk to you. Your daughter wanted to talk to us because she has read our letters to our daughter and thought they were so nice. Your girl was so polite and she and my daughter sounded so excited to have a little freedom from their regular schedule. Both were in good health and very good spirits, I suspect from their new found freedom. As luck would have it our other daughter and family were here when she called and we got THIRTY TWO MINUTES with her. Not that I kept track of the time. lol. Anyway I really would like to talk the Staples family from GA so if anyone knows them please help me reach them.

Linda I hope my girl can pass her PT and make PIR on 11/07. If she does I'll let you know. It would be a wonderful Birthday present for her, she turns 20 on 11/01/08. We would love to have BD cake with her.

My daughter is ship 06 division 2347 also. Maybe our girls have met, or will soon. My girl was moved there only a few days ago. She also missed her running by less than a minute. I pray for all of our recruits out there who are doing the best they can ans trying to make it through this. Wonder if they will have a graduation? How often have you heard from you girl? Has she missed any mail from you? I am so full of questions, I need to make a out a form to have you guys fill out. Lol! If you get tired of all of my questions just tell me to shut up .

Judy my daughter was scheduled to have her PIR on Oct 3 but didn't pass her run either. She turned 20 today and that has allowed her to have a little bit longer time than before. I hope she will pass next week now She has talked about Victoria and Cerra as being in her Div but haven't her her say any other names. Cerra and her called last week fron the NEX. Lately she has been able to somehow get to go to NEX and call us a lot more than before. I hope she isn't doing anything that could get her in trouble by going there. Since she is older she now has 15 minutes and some odd seconds to pass her run in.Lets hope these girls can fly with the wind on their next text and pass! Good Luck and tell your daghter to give a shout out to Brown! That's my girl. lol

Something tells me that if a recruit had 32 minutes to make a phone call and her friend was allowed to hop in and talk too they were doing something they shouldn't have been. I hope she doesn't get into trouble.

you already know she did get in trouble.

No, I don't know if she got into trouble but something sounds fishy about new found freedom and 32 min phone calls. I hope she passes and gets to PIR soon.
