30 Days until My Son Leaves for Bootcamp

Hello Everyone. I joined N4M almost a year ago. I used this site for reenforcement of peace of mind when my son joined the Navy. Its been almost a year since he signed. I thought this time would never come. I must admit that I was so looking forward to the day to come when he left. He needs this. Now that its quickly approaching Im feeling so bad. Hes my only child. I miss him already!!!
Its been a rough year with him. For a while over the summer we didnt think he was going to make it to his date. He's managed to stay out of trouble so far though. (im keeping my fingers crossed for the next 30 days).
I dont know what im going to do with myself when he leaves. A part of me will be so relieved that hes going to do something so wonderful with his life. The other part of me is so worried about him.
December 14th is the day he leaves.

Hey Kristi, hang in there and keep the faith that everything is going to be okay. I'll say a prayer for you and your son that he continues on and gets to the Dec date. You are going to miss him very much. When you get sad, worried,or stressed, just sign in and someone will be here for you. We are all going through the different stages and someone has been where you will be next month and they will be able to listen and comfort you. Cindi
