Airline for Sailors

Do any of you know what Airline they use to ship the sailors out to their A schools?

My Fiancee is flying out tomorrow, and he doesnt get all the information until later today and he doesnt know if he could call us

If nothing else, he should be able to call from the airport. My son left 9/12 and they had him to the airport hours befor his flight left. We met him at the USO at O'Hare and were there for almost 2 hrs. before he left to go the gate. We made the plan to just meet at the USO, centrally located, easy to find.

Any time my daughter has flown on The Navy's dime, it has been on Delta. That was A-School, to Cali, and to Japan.

They use different ones. Hopefully he will have time to give you a call ahead of time!!

They use whatever's cheapest. It's almost always Delta. He should fly out of O'Hare no matter what airline.

My son went to Pensacola & flew out of Midway on AirTran

My son almost always flew on American, but like one of the previous comments, you won't know until the last minute.

There isn't any specific airline that is used. I have a friend that works the military desk for Continental Airlines. When my son left Houston he flew on Continental. You should be able to get the information from his recruiter. We knew and were able to go to the airport with him. Of course that was when you could go to the gate. I would recommend asking the airline for a special pass to the gate to see him off. The might allow it. You never know til you ask.

He can take what ever luggage he needs no limit like one bag or weight, just show navy ID.
