Any Mom's of MA's out there?

My son leaves for BC in November. Afterwards, he goes to San Antonio for his MA training. Can anyone give me some idea what he is getting into?

Lots of MA stuff here!!

First, don't get your hopes too high that he is for sure headed to TEXAS!! I was excited that my son was - since I live in the state! Nope, he did his MA training in Virginia! My MA has been to Kuwait (the oil platforms) and is now in Spain. He has been in the Navy almost two years.

Hi Sheila, My son is also going to boot camp in November, he actually is leaving this Monday to arrive there on November 3rd. And then going to San Antonio for MA. When is your son leaving? I am as curious as you are to see what they will be getting into. Best wishes to you and your son.

My son is in BC right now- left the 26th. He is also suppose to go to San Antonio for MA training after graduating, so I wonder if they'll be together or if Ted will be just ahead of Evan. Somewhere on this site I did find some videos of MA training. It seems intense- not sure if it's all that helpful or something to fret about-lol.

Hey all moms! My hubby arrived @ BC oct 28th and is also going to san antonio for Master @ arms!! Can't wait until he's there so i can talk to him more often! I knew BC would be the hardest!! Let's all hang in there! People do this everyday and at least it's not a deployment (yet) WE WILL SEE THEM AGAIN!! I AM SO PROUD OF MY MAN!

My son is at Boot Camp now, with PIR 11/20. He is scheduled to go to San Antonio for MA training after that. He is going into the Reserves.

Thanks for all the replies. My son, Evan, leaves for BC on 11/16. Maybe he will be with some of your sons or husbands in San Antonio. I know he will be good at this stuff. Its all he has ever wanted to do. I will keep all of you in my prayers. I am so proud of Evan!!

My son leaves for BC on 11/16 and he is also going to San Antonio for his A - school for MA. I am so proud of my son and I am also sad to see him leave but San Antonio will be within reach for us when he gets to A school so I can make a couple of trips to see him there.

Evan left yesterday also. I know you are proud, as we are. Did you go to his swearing in ceremony? What is your sons first name so I can pray for him? Keep in touch.

I did go to Dylan's swearing in and I also got to go to the airport. I was so greatful that I got a security clearance to go to his gate and was with him until the end. It was so hard seeing him get on that plane but at the same time I was so proud. Thanks for the prayers for Dylan and I will likewise keep Evan in my prayers. Do you plan on making PIR?
