Anyone else have a son on Ship 13, Div 088 or Mom located in Terre Haute, IN???

My son left 9 December and this is from the address on his first letter. I would LOVE to connect with another Mom or family whose son is on this ship. I'm a single mom with 5 kiddos still at home.

I haven't heard from him since last wed. so I don't know if he's better or what? I am hoping he's better since he hasn't wrote. That could be a good sign that he's doing his training. I hope Michael is feeling better. Hopefully it was because of the weather. They are suppose to be doing their fire training on the ship this week. Maybe that is why we havent' gotten any letters. I made my reservations already but if I have to change it .......I can. But don't really want to go through the hassell. If I hear anything I will hollar at ya. I hope all goes with Michael. If you find out what made them sick.......would like to know.

i got a letter from jason last wek and he was sick for about 3 days - sounded like fever, sore thorat (hurt to swallow jello - sounds more like strep - and chest congestion = said quite a few were on rest - he is still trying to get over the flu stuff too from the flu mist - so hope he does well with the gas chamber

Waaaaaa............. Our poor babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :0(

I think they should send them home to Mommy when it gets this bad so we can make it all better. What do you say? Start a petition right now? :0)

Seriously though, can you imagine? When we get a slight fever we feel awful. Can you imagine having a stuffy nose, fever, sore throat, and still having to do all that? Of course, having a stuffy nose in a gas chamber could have its perks.

At this rate though, I think we will only find out what was spread once we see them in 10 DAYS.

I just hope and pray they are all getting better. I have told my son that when he needs me to look at the moon and he will know that I am there. I look at the moon everynite that it is in the sky and think of him. It really brings a piece of mind knowing that he is looking too. It's like a window for each of us. I done that to my daughter when she got married and moved to NC...her husband was in the marines...........she told me that helped her get through some tough times. So I know that my son is putting a smile on his face when he looks into that dark sky.

Giving a cyber hug to you all. !!!
