Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

The Form Letter arrives an average of ten days after the recruit's arrival at the RTC. Some will have it 7 days after arrival (a few earlier than that, but not many) and most will have it by 14 days after arrival. It will tell you your recruit's address and PIR date and other important information. Keep it in a safe place.
Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.
If his recruiter does give you his address, then please wait The Form Letter before sending letters unless two calendar weeks have passed without receiving The Form Letter.
Those with a recruit in TG 11 with a 01/19/2017 PIR date started receiving the form letter on Saturday (the ones I am aware of shipped on 11/21/2017, so a week before your husband, but they would have had 2 extra P-HOLD days due to the Thanksgiving weekend holiday), so expect your letter on or near Friday.

JuliaB I believe Jan 26th would be his Graduation.
It is more likely for a recruit to be at the RTC for 8 or 9 Fridays than for 10 Fridays. Counting Fridays until PIR may also help to make the time pass more easily than counting days.

JuliaB, PIR will most likely be 02/02/2018 for those who shipped on 12/04/2018, but is could be the week before if he was put in one of the last divisions from last week's TG and is in a Push Division. Wait on The Form Letter to know the PIR date for sure.

My son took off Nov 27th, got a letter saying graduation date was Jan 26th. But I heard there was a mistake, might be Jan 19th. Does anyone have any info on this? My son is 18 just wondering how you guys are doing feeling without your loved one home, especially with Christmas coming up. My heart is torn.... Maybe it's just me...
