Anyone with PIR date 1/30/2009?

Yes my Daughter Sarah's PIR is 1/30/2009. We got a letter yesterday saying that was the scheduled date. She is Ship 13 Div 083. I am so excited. I have already put in my vacation request, with the stipulation subject to change as the government wishes. Best of luck to you all and Megan!

Yes our son Eric will PIR on 1/30/09. He is in Divison 080, Ship 13. We too will be in attendance for his graduation and are really pumped up about going. My hubby went through GL back in 1984 and he is interested to see how much it has changed since then. Hopefully it will be a nice, warm(relatively), sunny, day.

Hi all

My daughter left for bc on 12/3. Just received the box on Tuesday. And, a letter from her yesterday. Feel alot better now. She said it wasn't bad. That the food was decent too. She did mention the PIR was on 1/30/09, She is ship 13. div. 083. I am hoping that she meets others there with her. She told me that her bunkmate is 40, and that she really knows how to make a bed. Also, she told me that I fold towels all wrong, and when she gets back that she will show me the correct way to do it.! lol I believe that they call everyone by their last names, too. My son Eric'a PIR is also 1/30/09. He got to GL December 4th. I was surprised that it wasn't in February. I'm sure they won't mind being done ealier! By the way - he is Division 085, Ship 13. Anyone else out there have a child in that Division? Can't wait for the 30th!

Yes , My sons PIR is on 1/30/09 at 9am, Ship 13 div 083. I will fly in on the 29th from texas. Is the Best Value Inn an okay place to stay? I'm a neat freak. possibilities of bed cooties will keep me up all nite. This is so exciting! I get butterflies just thinking of this ceremony.

Our daughter Emily's PIR is also 1/30/09. She is in division 86, ship 13. We just received a 3 minute phone call from her requesting us to bring her hair straightener and civilian glasses. She'd rather go around in a blurry world than wear her BC glasses. Haha. Their Battlestations is this Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I'll be praying!
