My son is flying to Boot Camp on Jan 6. Do you know when BC actually starts? where is your son coming from?

My son leaves Jan 7th from Tampa. I am guessing since new recruits will be up for a couple of days bootcamp starts the day you get there?

My son is shipping out on the 7th as well. At least if they let him. He has the flu. He hasn't been sick like this ever. I don't think he ever missed a day of school. Ugh!

My daughter left from tampa today to go to chicago to boot camp. I feel like i'm mourning her which is so silly. I am so proud of her. she is 20. anyone know when it actually starts?

My son left today (6th) and will fly to BC on the 7th. Still boo hooin. He is leaving from the upstate in South Carolina.

My son did get to ship out today and was feeling much better. No temperature and had quit throwing up! I just got a 1 minute phone call from him as he just arrived at Great Lakes!

Kim& Susan~ I am feeling your tears....as I have been crying off and on since last night at the hotel over in Tampa. And wouldn't ya know I go into his room and start crying and 2 minutes later my son calls me from Tampa airport and says "Oh mom look at it like this I am on a 8 week cruise" and I tell him him oh yeah then how come I can't come? LOL!
My son's girlfriend and I were both crying on his shoulder last night but, I am really trying to stay strong. I told him to stay on the plane when it lands in Chicago and call me that way he will have a good 10-15 minutes and he can call his girlfriend too.
And Devon it's gotta be hard on you as well.....here is to all of us hearing from our sailors and making these eight weeks go by quick. I look forward to meeting all of you at PIR.

My son Jordan shipped out today from San Antonio. I don't know if he is still sitting at the airport or if he has already boarded a plane. I told him to call me, but in true Jordan fashion he doesn't have his phone on and nobody has been able to get a hold of him. Oh well!! I am doing ok! Miss him, but proud of him!! See you all at PIR
