I got my son's address today too!!! Can't wait. I was told not to send any pics while they are in bootcamp? I'm not sure if I will send any or not. I don't want him to get into trouble. Anyone have any info on this?

I was told we could send photos. one Mom suggested to paste them into your letter so it is part of the letter. I am going to do that along with pasting comics and such. be sure to check out the boot camp moms group - lots of good advice here. http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms

My son left from Jacksonville, FL on the 8th for boot camp. I got my 30 second call from him at 2:30am this morning & he sounded horrible. Of course I have been a wreck since he left on the 7th. It does feel like a part of my heart is missing. I know he will be fine, but I can't stop thinking about him. Can't wait until I get his address to write & to hear from him again. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one feeling this way!!

Hey Debra,

I am from Jacksonville, Florida too! My son Kevin left last Wednesday on the 14th of January for boot camp in the Great Lakes. I wonder if our Kevin will get to meet your Jason...I felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest when we watched him go through security at the airport and run up the concourse with his group! We have been so relieved to get his phone call, but it was very short. He sounded like he was adjusting well. He told us that they have to stay inside. We were so worried about that because he wouldn't take the leather jacket we bought him. We got our phone call around 8pm. We are looking forward to get his address too. His girlfriend has already written his first letter! I am so thankful to meet you. It makes things so much easier.

Trish - How did you get the address? Did his recruiter call you? I'm concerned because my son's Dad left for Australia for 3 weeks the same day our son shipped out. Our son lived with him and his girlfriend, in the past few years and she and I are keeping close watch on anything from Kevin. What worries me is that his Dad has a professional office in the home and this might be the address and phone number that the recruiter probably has as a contact. Does anybody know how I could get the address if the info gets lost in the confusion? I would feel terrible if Kevin's buddies start getting mail and he doesn't. Thanks!

Got the box today and the address. USS Triton, Div:111, bldg. 7113. Yay!!!! He said he was good and that he would see us soon. I looked at graduation dates, but they don't look right!!! anybody else have an idea about graduation dates!

We got the box yesterday too, and our son's in USS Triton, Div 111, Bldg 7113 also. We're hoping to find out the PIR dates soon so we can try to make travel arrangements. Hope the weather warms up in February!

My son is USS TRITON DIV 110 BLDG 7113! I wonder if they train together even if they're in different divisions?

just to clear something up, you can send pictures in boot camp.

i sent my husband plenty of them. just don't send a lot in one letter because if it's
too heavy the officers will open them theirselves. and make sure the pictures
don't have anything bad in them :) you don't have to paste them or anything.
just simply put them in the envelope.
