WARMER weather Lynn Dear?!!? Surely you jest. :) Didn't CC move to Chicago? They may be the only place that has more snow than we do here in WA! Aha, so you are still hanging around, peeking in on us. Can't help yourself, huh? You do love us! So wonderful to "see" you. =) Hope all has gone well with the move. I never got to say farewell on your "Anchors' Aweigh" post, so here's my chance...

What a surprise to log on and find you were leaving! Now I have to resort to bugging Elle on Monday mornings to make sure she has 101 comments in her box to read! Not to mention, ask her dumb tech questions that she'll have to redirect to ning. LOL Won't be the same, but I'll adjust. I'm sure she is going to do a fabulous job and I for one will assist and support any way I can ('bulldog" reporting for duty. :) ) because you would expect no less of your 9500 + moms. :) Catherine, your warmth, humor and friendly, personal touches added a wonderful dimension to this site and you will be/are missed. So, do drop in and check on us from time to time and let us know what's new in your life. Wow, if you two decide to start a family sometime, that is going to be the biggest cyber baby shower ever!! hee, hee

Mona Lisa, I'm so looking forward to meeting you SOON . . . maybe we should follow the lead of the Florida group and start getting together for lunch every other month - hmmmmm . . . Thank you for that mental picture of peace:)!

From the first get-together that I had with some of the moms here there was an immediate connection like no other. We may all come from different places, but there is one common bond that connects us all and that is our children. If it weren't for their dedication and respect for their country to serve in our military today, none of us would have even met. I have cried, laughed, grieved and shared with alot of you and I continue to to that because there is comfort here everytime I log on! Thanks to all of our military men and women especially all those sailors, soldiers and airman that we know who serve through our group here. I love you all and thank you all!!!!! Happy Holidays and a Happy, safe, healthy and peaceful New Year to all!
Thanks Joyce!

Marianne, meeting in person certainly strengthens the bond we have . . . it's hard to believe all the connections that have grown in such a short time (less than a year!) You have summed it up perfectly - Thank you:)!

Nicely said Marianne! Joyce, I do hope that in person element comes together even more this year for everyone. I personally cannot wait to meet and HUG you in person next Sept. at the 3 day Cancer walk. Even if I just crew with my special Sistah TK, I know it will be the most fun I've had in a while! =) Just want to say thanks to you my friend. You always know just when to drop in with a Giant Hug and brighten up a long day! Loved the "6 degrees of Separation thread", that was a blast and it really did serve to show how interconnected we really are all in this new world of military/Navy families. Happy New Year everyone. :-) Can't wait to hit 10,000!
