you can wear what ever you would like to wear for the graduation. You will be sitting in bleachers and have to walk about 1/4 mile from the parking lot to the hall so dress comfortable and remember that GL is on the lake and the weather is windy and snowy this time of yr.

Your invitaion to the graduation would tell you of she is a grad n go, if so she will only have a couple of hours with you before she goes to the air port (you can meet her there to see her off). If she is not a grad and go
here is the web site for GL that gives you the break down of the graduation day

Please go and enjoy what ever time you may have after the graduation as it is the most exciting graduation that you will ever see

thank you for your help. If the weather is really bad will they hold the graduation inside? She is not a grad and go, she doesn't leave for nuke school until Monday the 2nd. The web was a great help, thanks. janet

Janet, my son's PIR was Dec 5th. It was the most amazing event! We stayed at the Residence Inn in Waukegan. We were able to take Jake off base right after the graduation. He had to be back at 2000 hrs each night. He called us in the morning when he was ready to be picked up & we were able to spend the whole day together. There are photos of the weekend on my page.
Congratulations & have a great time.

My Son also graduates on the 30th! How exciting. We just got the information in the mail today. He told me about a week ago.

Our son graduated in Sept. the one thing I want to let you know....make sure you get to the base early! the security lines really hold things up. We didn't know about this and almost missed the ceremony! I thought I was going to have a stroke in the car.
