Navy For Moms

Our son just swore in today. We spent most of the morning with him at MEPS. Everyone did very well. It was the saddest when the bus pulled away. I'm filled with lots of different emotions right now. I already miss him so much, but am SO proud of his decision and will support him with all my strength. I am grateful that this website exists. A friend shared it with me - what a gift! I look forward to sharing many positive experiences so that others may be encouraged. I will seek the same encouragement from others.

Wow, that is so encouraging. That would be really cool if they got in the same unit. I've battled w/so many different emotions, but ultimately, I am SO proud of him for making this decision. He's 21, has a 13 month old son & needed to make a decision for his future. This is one of the best decisions he's ever made in his young life. I know he's going to be successful. Thanks for responding! ~Gina
