Navy For Moms

That I've recently stated having a love/hate relationship with the Navy, and now I'm having that same feeling about this N4M site!!!

This site is so extremely helpful, I don't understand why any Mom wouldn't want to be a part of it!

But ~

I can't read more than a few minutes without crying!! Some of you women write such sweet, from your heart words that it saddens me, makes me happy, proud, excited, mad....on and on...ALL AT ONCE!

Hence the love/hate part. I love the information, help, advise, stories, blogs, worries, words of encouragement, I can relate to everyone's worries, dreams, hopes. But I hate the fact that I always have to go reapply my makeup at least once during the day after being on here!! (LOL)

Much thanks to whoever came up with this idea!

I have given up with make up. Just got off the phone with Elizabeth she is so sad. I wish I could fly to her and hug her and tell her things will be alright. She just got married and now is in C school in Whidbey Island and Brian is in North Carolina. I just want to make things better and I can't. I am worried about her. She just cried and cried and there was nothing I could do or say to make her feel better. Well I have to go she is on the phone again.
Thanks.
Laureen

I haven't gone anywhere. I'm hanging out in the DEP group and the Oct. boot camp group. That's where I seem to connect right now. Believe me I haven't gone anywhere!! I NEED this site! Thanks for asking about me though. Nice to know I was missed!

I can still relate to this! I have deployment coming up real quick here in Sept. and I am not use to that idea yet and I know I need to be! This is going to be hard. Months on end w/out talking to him, wondering how he is and hoping to get an email from him. God does have a special place for Military Moms.

I agree totally....My son was in the delayed entry program so I had 13 months to get ready. The day I sent him off to boot camp was the hardest day of my life. I really felt like a part of my heart was ripped out. After a few weeks I could get through the day with out crying and I am able to laugh at the little things now. I have read so much and teared up and shed several tears and I haven't even finished the story I was reading. I am so thankfull that we have this sight. I wish that every person in the United States could be as thankfull and proud of our sons/daughters/husbands/wifes as I am...
