I am thinking of taking my 3 year old to PIR Jan 23rd... are we outside for long periods of time? Are their lots of kids at the ceremony?

Hi Gina, I bet you are excited :) Yes you are outside for a bit, walking from the parking lot, to the security line checkpoint then a walk to the drill hall. Bundle the babe up good and bring a small stroller. It will be fine. And yes, there are lots of kids at pir. Enjoy!

I'm bringing our 3 and 4 year old boys...I'm just planning to bring lots of things to keep them busy on the expected long waits. We just got them a Leapster and I'm not letting them play it until the plane ride and PIR ceremony, that way it will be a fun new thing to keep their attention! Oh yeah, bundle them up...it's going to be cold there!

Hi! I'll be there for that graduation too. My son is in Div 070. How about yours?

A friend of mine who had her son graduate many years ago said to layer clothing well, because inside during the ceremony, it gets very warm so you'll want to be able to take off sweaters, etc.

Isn't this exciting though?? Has your son been able to call you much?
