Navy For Moms

My daughter is having a trouble in her separation from the Navy. She had what sounded like a panic attach her first day at boot camp. First they sent her to medical and then to the mental health area for observation. After 48 hours, they told her that they were recommending separation and that she would be able to go home and when she was up to it that she would probably be able to try enlisting in another service. But when she went to legal, she was told that the separation code they were giving her would not only not allow her to enlist in any service but may keep her from ever getting a government job. When she went over the report with her, she said who ever wrote it exaggerated everything that she told them. When she told them that, they gave her a number and told her when she got home that she could try to contact them and get it "fixed". I think they are just telling her anything so she will sign the papers to leave which of course she did. I have my daughter on one side telling me to wait until she gets home to dispute it. (I think they threaten her with staying there longer if she did not just go along with it.) On the other hand, I have a friend of mine that used to work with recruits in the air force tell me that I should call my Senator and get him involved in getting this straightened up before she leaves. I put this on the advise forum and got some pretty heartless responses from some people there. Thought someone here might give me some better advise since many of you have been through this yourself.
