Navy For Moms

I posted on another thread for divisions that are scheduled to PIR on the same date of 1/2, but I have not seen anyone else post for that same division. My son is in that division. He arrived at RTC on 11/4.

That is great that you have received 4 letters. I guess your son is better about writing than ours is. We have just received the form letter with his quick note at the bottom and then one letter.

If you check the website it says that right now Division 50 is scheduled for PIR (graduation) on 1/2/09.

Let me know when you get a phone call from your son. From what people have said I would expect to hear from them this week - since it is week 3.

Hi Jinjer! My son arrived at RTC on 11/4 and graduates on 1/2/09! AND he is in Div 050, assigned to USS Arizona. We both thought that was funny since we live in Indiana but he was born in Arizona.

I didn't see your discussion in the other thread. I only joined N4M a few days ago. I haven't posted yet; just looking around. I hate that he won't be home for Christmas. The recruiter said they might push him through BC and let him graduate on 12/24, but no. I've only received one phone call and one letter so far. This is killing me!

I was wondering if they would push them through early like some of the other Divisions were talking about. But I guess they got there late enough that they are going to have to spend the holidays in RTC.

I am glad to see other mothers from that Division. My son was really positive in the letter we did receive. I hope he can remain positive.

Hi Jinjer, I cant believe I have found others with kids in 050. Seeing as you started this forum or discussion, you should start a group for 050 families. It is easier to read threads then in this setting. It is late here so I will talk to you all tomorrow. g'night

I left this info on another thread from Ship 14. Thought it might be of interest.

This info has week by week activites for our Recruits. Is 050 in its 3rd week already?

Hi Marie -
When I started this thread I wasn't sure where the best place was to put it. I figured this would catch everyone that had not signed up for any groups. Do you think more people read the groups? I don't mind doing it as a group, if you think that will work better.

I am so happy to finally find some other moms in DIV 50. I am so curious to hear what is happening there, so it is great to be able to get feedback from others.

Thank you for posting the link. It is nice to read what each week entails. If I am counting it correctly they are currently in the third week.

It is great to be able to talk with other going throught the same things at the same time. I think there are more moms out there needing the same thing as us, start the group.I have told my son to let other Recruits know about this site and what to look out for to find us. Have a great day.

There is also a group that was already created for PIR 1/2. There are about 20 members of that group. Here is the address:

Anyone received a phone call yet? We were thinking we might get one tomorrow for Thanksgiving.

I was praying for a call Thanksgiving, but no such luck. Has anyone here gotten the grad packet yet?

Reply to This

We haven't received the grad pack yet. I was hoping we might see it today, since other people with recruits in different divisions received it on Saturday. I figure they are closer to GL, so probably received it sooner.

How about letters? We still have only received one which our son wrote on Veterans Day, November 11. I know he isn't big on doing things like writing letters, so I guess I am not too surprised we haven't heard more. But it would still be good to know that all is going well. He was really positive about the experience in the letter we received.

Okay we got our letters today... 4 letters arrived. 3 were for my husband and 1, and one for our daughter. I guess he had gotten busy studying on Sunday and forgot to get the letters he wrote mailed.

Anyhow - still no Grad Pack or phone call. He did mention the form coming for adopting him for Christmas - so I guess that means that the Grad Pack has been mailed.
