Is there anyone here who can give me any information about what Dry Air Crew is and what kind of job that entails?

Could you also leave the same message on my home page? My son is also signed up for Air Crew, and he hasn't been able to give me an answer as to what it is that he will be doing. He is waiting to start A school. Says maybe not until July. How long is school?

please send your reply to my home page , have you already been through air crew school? and do you still have to go through rescue swimmer school even if you are going to be dry crew?

One more thing I didn't mention. Aircrew can also mean that you fly in a helicopter, AWACS, and aircraft the Navy flies that requires people in the aircraft other than pilots. So there are many opportunites to be had.

Hi Jim,
John also went to A School at Pensacola. He says he is due to class up on June 16th and graduate Oct. 1. It was really hard not seeing him much yesterday. He has called twice today though. I am so glad we will get to talk more often now. What have you learned about A school so far?

I think that just means hes not a a rescue swimmer. He works in hawkeye planes and such.
