I keep that in mind with my son's girlfriend... I just got an email from his recruiter with his mailing address.  I shared it with her right away.  Do you have access with her recruiter?

My son ended up leaving on the 13th and I received the form letter today. My SR wrote a small letter on the back of the form, it made my day.  It was wonderful to hear from him.  SHIP 04 DIV 810, Graduation is 4/13/12.  Can't wait to see my SR.

My son left the 16th also ,his girlfriend and I were there with him at Meps before he left and followed him to the airport I am surprised I didn't get a ticket trying to catch up to his bus but he was very surprised when we got there. I haven't received his box yet but reading yalls posts I should be receiving it soon. He will be a MA and coming back home for A school. I think I will go to the base with some binoculars hahaha I can't wait for this to be over... But it never will be over I guess with the career they have chose. But I can't wait for some news about my baby!

I recieved DJ's box today. I opened it up right away. Yep ... they are his clothes. Not sure if they really smelled like him or not. I did feel like I was gonna be sick about an hour later. Maybe cause I know now that it really is so that he is there.

Hi DJsmom, I am Josh's mom.  My name is Jessica.  We live in California and my son is supposed to leave for bootcamp on March 12, 2012.  I was a single mother for many years and have never really took a real vacation.  All this is very new to me.   I wanted to ask you when I should actually buy my airline tickets.  Do you have any suggestions because I wanted to stay at the Navy Lodge. So I wanted to buy the airplane ticket with a car rental.  However, I am not sure what route to take to make it affordable. I would appreciate your advise.  Thank you and have a good evening.

Hi Jessica Sorry it took a bit to reply to you. This is all new to me as well but I would certainly wait for the form letter that the Navy sends to you before you do any reservations. As you may not really know when he may graduate. I hope I have helped you.

My daughter is scheduled to graduate on 03/16/12.  She sent me a letter asking me to send her makeup, hair stuff, razor, q-tips, etc.  I thought they would be able to purchase some the these items there and it would just come out of their accounts.  Has any other parent been asked to send any of these things as well.  She stressed to send it fast delivery.  So I'm assuming that she can have them.

Got form letter today!!!!!! Matt is in ship 04 Div 120. Grad date April 13. Thank goodness I think the mail man was relieved when I was waiting for him today at the end of my driveway!!!!! Now I can send all my letters and cards

WONDERFUL Matt's Mom!! My son left on 2-22-12, I'm happy to hear that the forms and boxes are coming sooner that I thought. Have a great day!

Hi Jimmy's Mom, Yes it was wonderful to get the form letter. How are you doing? You should get the box on Monday!!  It comes Fed Ex. When I arrived home that night it was on my door step. It is a weird feeling. The letter is a much better feeling  take it from me I have been an emotional wreck. Today is  day 11 for me since my son left and I am doing better. Navy Mom's is the best thing. Please keep in touch.

Joanne
