Navy For Moms

I got a letter, very unexpected since she only left on 11/03. (9days) She says she does not have a name, they call everyone "female" or "male" or "you". She had her hair cut two days before she left to make sure it was short enough, more than one inch above the top of her collar, but they cut it again,,,she was not happy about that!!
She likes being in div 907 because they will get to do "parades and stuff" and that she hopes she does not get into any trouble so she can stay there. At least she says it is getting easier even though the really hard part starts after today (Thurs) bec she will be through with processing and medical and be even busier. No one does anything right and the ones who have been there and know more about what is going on will not help you, lol. And that on this Sunday they will have a "real holiday" and some time to rest or study, and write letters instead of the one hour they had when she wrote this.
Awesome!!! She seemed stressed but no more than I expected. Time for a sigh of relief.

The first few weeks are very hard on recruits - NO ONE does anything right. They learn to rely on each other and develop their own strengths during this time of breaking down. It gets better after the first 2 -3 weeks. They HATE BC, but it gets better and by the time you see her at PIR, you will be amazed at the confident, accomplished young woman you will see. Keep your marvelous sense of humor and be the support you always have been. I'm sure she'll do great.
