Contact Your Recruit
Because of the structured nature of recruit training, your recruit will not be able to contact you regularly. Your recruit is given a short phone call upon arrival to let you know that he or she arrived safely. Your recruit will also be given phone calls from time to time throughout training as a reward for outstanding performance. Your recruit's primary means of communicating with family and friends is via the US mail. We highly encourage you to write your recruit as often as you like. Recruits will receive your letters throughout the week but can only respond to them during "holiday routine," on Sunday mornings and non-training days.

In case of a family emergency contact the American Red Cross to assist in passing an emergency message to your recruit. The link above will provide directions for this.

I just got my son's mailing address yesterday. Was so excited, got 4 things out in yesterday's mail. The address I was given is different from above. Is it possible they updated or changed?

Mike is Div 395 Ship 13. Recruiter provided 3505 Sailor Drive which doesn't coincide with the above or what is listed on the Navy website?

I'm worried now his mail will not reach him. I have called his recruiter who just said: "Well thats what was on the records. I'll follow up in a day or two and call you." That was not the answer I wanted to hear. Any advise or recommendations whereas I can confirm the street number myself? Thanks so much....Michelle

Yea I found out a little too late these addresses, may not be correct, I would just address it the way your sailor told you too, I am trying to find out what is going on, I will repost when I do,Sorry Pattie

Michelle - my son is on the same ship and same Div. I was given two differnet addresses the one you mentioned was the one he provided to his girlfriend and has received her mail I believe. I have not recieved anything from him since the form letter. When I talked to the recruiter she told me the address listed above 3420 - I just recently sent letters to 3505 - I may never know since he dose not choose to write to us and just his girlfriend.

I did hear that this group is in trouble alot and getting yelled at a lot and has not been fun at all - and that pink eye is going around with other sickness.

USS Enterprise is on 3425 Sailor Dr. I put as much in the address as possible!!

That is the way my sons address came at first and he got all his mail, so this address should work until he mails you again.

- How do I find out the rest?

When your sailor writes you the address will have the ship and div and the street address on it. the address you have, may take a few days to get to them because it goes to a main building then separated. The address listed above gets it to them faster my son has said.

thank you, the american red cross thing gave me info, since i will be expecting out baby in about 4 weeks and my husband just left last friday, i will be able to call and let him know when she is born and all that good info!
