Navy For Moms

Just to let everyone know, I found this site that is offering free welcome home banners for the military. I thought it was great, and a nice way to welcome our heroes home.

If you get a banner, hang it inside your home, not outside. I've known of sailors who have had their homes broken into while their wives were on the pier waiting for the ship to arrive home after a cruise. Not worth the chance.

Thanks, Annmarie, for posting this info. I ordered a banner for my son and he loved it ! I brought it to the airport when he arrived and of course, he spotted us right away. There were lots of other military families there, too, and many inquired as to where we obtained the banner. I was happy to share the info. Since my son has been home, we've hung it outside and he's so proud. I also noticed another banner like ours in a subdivision near us. This family has a member in the Army. Looks like the info has been shared with other military branches. Oh yeah, I'm from Louisiana and the shipping was under $20 (that included the little clips I bought, too) Well worth the price, I'd say.

Glad I could share the information. Our son loved the banner too, and we kept it up the two weeks he was home. We just dropped him off at the airport this morning, on his way to Virginia. Best wishes to your son.

I just order ours today...we didn't put a rank on it so we can use it again. I know it will look great on the fence outside the main gate at 29 Palms when he gets home!!!! Had to pay a little more on shipping so I would make sure we had it in plenty of time.

How long does it take to get the banner.

Depends on your choice of shipping. I paid a little extra, because I wanted to make sure it was here before my son is hope. Kept putting it off, so I had it pay for that. Think the $9.95 shipping is for 6 weeks out.

is there a type-o up top...its say offer ends 2008
i do know about the signs, i myself have ordered and receive 2
Just make sure when they ask "homecoming" date....put the date you "would" like to receive the banner.
Because your banner WILL be process on the anticpated homecoming date...I know I had to call build a sign and change it.
I ordered one Dec 31 and received in when i asked for it {second week in Feb}

My understanding of the free signs are.
Build a sign started it on Veterans Day of 2008 and are isssuing 10,000 free signs
It is a Fantastic offer-take complete advantage.
Your shipping will depend on the "size" of the sign you order!
Good Luck!

Hello all, I started this discussion and at the time, I thought I read the offer ended the end of 2008. But I seems as though it is still going on. So I've made the changes to my original posting, so others will also take andvantage of the offer....the signs are beautiful. Our son loved it. We had is picture put on it and the total came to around $25 for shipping. Well worth it.

Thanks Annmarie,
I just ordered mine. My son's on his way back next month. It may help others moms to know that its the 2x4 vinyl banner that's free. I tried the great big one and it costs $20, which is still relatively inexpensive, but I opted for the free one. Thanks so much, I'm gonna spread the news to my group!
