Getting to 1st duty Station

My son will be stationed in Everett Washington. He is in Pensacola until Decmber 5th then comes home (Nebraska) and has to be in Washington the 26th. He says they give him a ticket from Florida to WA. What do we need to do to get him home? I don't know what he has to do and he doesn't seem to know either. He says that the civilian woman that is working with him is out of the office until after the holiday. Can someone help me with info?

OH....the travel office...there is an office on base to help with travel arrangements.

HINT>.Add a stop to his ticket from the navy...it costs only a little bit. maybe 35.00

If nothing else, call the airline and ask them.

He will want to wait until she returns and take the ticket back to her and tell her that he wants to take leave in Nebraska on his way to WA. They will reissue the ticket to accomodate this and he will just pay the difference in fares. It is the most affordable way to handle it.
