Doesn't sound right, my son was always ship 10 divi 365 and now we have building numbers and etc. Just wait for his letter to arrive, my recruiter had the wrong info too in the beginning. Call the recruiter back and ask him/her to chk again.

Hi Angie,
Yes we received his Navy form letter on Tuesday, but havent received a letter from him we live in Calif. so maybe it takes a bit longer and they had a big storm in Chicago so we are waiting for the mail today!! How is your daughter doing? Was her letter up beat? Thats what I hope for my sons name is Matthew we call him Matty but I'm sure he is not going by that name right now!! lol I wonder how many people in each Div??

Barbara - how exciting to talk to someone who's child is in the same Div and Ship. Any letter yet? Brittanie said in her letter that there were 84 people in their division. She said there were a lot of "idiots" in her division that made her life a whole lot easier - she just sits back, shuts up and does what she's told. Their Chief is pretty cool - and the 2 POs are OK too. This means our kids know each other, are training together and probably a whole lot of other things together how exciting!

Hi Angie,
We finally received two letters on the same day Friday!!! He sounds upbeat but home sick. He told us that on Thanksgiving that they had to march after chow in the freezing cold and he now knows why they cal Chicago the "Windy City" we have been watching the weather channel and last night it was -6!!! I cant even imagine that!!! He did say that his RDC was yelling at a couple of kids and that he even said a line from a movie he watched a hunderd time and he wanted to laugh but couldnt. So I think he is trying to make the best of it he's just that kind of kid. lol

I finally got the form letter today he is on The USS Roosevelt Div 070. He asked for us to send pictures does anyone know if it is ok to send them?

Yes, you can send pictures (as long as they are 'clean' pics), comic strips, sports section of paper, email jokes (printed off obviously), cards. No packages, magazines or actual newspapers.

While they are in BC they have no communication with the outside world. When you send letters try to keep them 'upbeat' They are missing you and don't need to worry about how much you are missing them. Try to keep it at 'I'm so proud of you. I know you can make it through this & I'll be so excited to see you at graduation"

Also they love to see if they will be the one with the most mail at mail call, so try to get friends, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, siblings etc... to write encouraging notes or cards to them.
