Navy For Moms

Our daughter left for bc last Wednesday (10/29). Has anyone heard what the graduation date will be? I'm wondering how this will figure in with RTC's Christmas schedule.

My boyfriend left on 10-28 and his grad date is scheduled on 12-19. Your daughter's will more than likely be on that date too. You can go to this website once you know her division number to find out for sure. http://www1.netc.navy.mil/nstc/rtcgl/family/upcominggrad.html

Thanks for the info. We have not received complete info on her yet....div, address, grad date, etc. Maybe more info by the end of this week. BYW...how did you get your boyfriend's info?

what div is your boyfriend in? My son is div 039, left for BC on 10/29 and doesn't have a date yet. The recruiter says it's on hold. Please let me know.

My boyfriend is in division 035. He called us with his info and he sent it in his letter. His recruiter didn't help us at all. They kept telling us that his info wasn't put into the system yet.

Hi- my son - it seems is in the same as yours.... Wow - what a waiting game - I was in Chicago yesterday for business and it was strange that he was only 20 miles away and I couldn't even pop in...

My son is in the 033. He left on 10/27 and his grad date is scheduled for 12-19. He will go to A-School at Great Lakes. Did your boyfriend say anything about coming home for Christmas? We are hearing that my son will get time off and be able to fly home. It sounds unheard of so I wanted to run it by someone.

Marc called me on Saturday saying that we should bring a big car with us when we come to PIR (we live in Michigan so we are driving) because they were all told that they were allowed to leave with us after graduation. Then, yesterday I received a call again from Marc saying that now they are being told that he has to fly out to Mississippi for his A-school and check in and then he will be allowed to find a flight back home as soon as they let him leave. Our big worry is that he wont be able to find a flight so close to Christmas on such short notice.

My son is in 039 ship 11 (left 10-29) just found out he is 12-24 PIR date...has anyone heard if they are grad and go or staying on base? I was told everyone grad that day is being shipped out same day

My son is in Div 038, ship 11. I haven't rec'd a letter yet with any definite info! I'm a little sad about it, but it doesn't stop me from sending a letter EVERY DAY! I am hoping that if they do graduate on the 24th, he will be able to leave right away. FLYING ON CHRISTMAS EVE IS GOING TO BE A NIGHTMARE!!!

How did you find out that it was going to be that day? Were you lucky enough to get a REAL letter?

I'm going to take the chance and make the reservations for flights. I already have the room! (I booked 3 weeks worth - JUST IN CASE!)

who told you that they ship out that day?

The grad packets said they were grad n go. My son told me they gave them the choice to take leave or go to a school. Either way they have to be off the base xmas eve

what does that mean? does the base close????????? I haven't seen anyone with a sailor in Div 044.
