Navy For Moms

My son graduates on Jan. 23 We have seven people going and only four are allowed on the list. Is it worth the other three to even go to the ceremony and try to get a seat or would they not even get one. If they don't I don't know what they would do to wait on us. Also with them not being on the list how do they even get in? I hate to have them miss this too, but don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Below is info from RTC's website.

If anyone tells you that you can bring more people they are wrong.

Recruit Graduations
Recruit graduation is known as Pass-In-Review. It is a formal military ceremony which honors your Sailor's hard work and dedication to a new way of life. It also ties together the future of the Navy with our long-held Naval traditions and customs. You should receive a letter from your Sailor including detailed information for graduation, a parking pass, a brochure of base information, and directions to base.

All guests over the age of 12 must show valid identification (photo ID, Social Security card, or birth certificate will suffice). Children under two years of age do NOT need to be on the access list. The graduating Sailor is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your Sailor to determine who will be attending graduation.

The maximum number of guests a Sailor may invite is four. Do not call for extra seats.

In order to be fair to all, we ask that you respect our limitation on the number of guests. The access list is turned in about a week before the graduation and cannot be changed once it has been submitted to security.

The Metra train station offers a stop at Great Lakes, which is approximately 1/4 mile from the graduation drill hall. Access to Naval Station Great Lakes has been greatly modified in response to our heightened security posture. Guests should be prepared to have camera bags, purses, etc. subject to search by security personnel
