i does anuone knitting or crocheting scarves for navy personal

Hi does anyone have directions for scarves either knittting or crochet? I thought I would make some for my son but wasn't sure what the Navy allows.

I believe they can only wear certain ones and colors- but he can wear the ones you give him when he is not in uniform- knit away!

Here's a link to the group "Knit for the Navy" . . . we've been making afghans to send to sailors, but there's also a current effort to make scarves for Christmas

follow this link and then look for the discussion about scarves - there's some 'criteria' posted on what is/isn't allowed to maintain standards in fitting in with their uniforms:)!

Thank you for the link. Is this for those in the Navy state side at school also? I'm better with crocheting but can learn to knit just takes me more time.
