Income tax help

I received a call from my son this evening and he wants help with doing his income tax. He has never had to do this before. He said several of his friend's mom's have taken care of theirs and could I do his. I asked him if he received his W-2's and he said no. He thought they were going to be given out last week but he did not get one. He is in Great Lakes. Advice and direction needed! Thanks Pat

I think they get their W-2's online in the same website they "see" their pay stub.

Hey, I thought my son also said we should get something in the mail... who should I find this out from.. and how. we need to do his taxes also. thanks

they only can get there w2's from the mypay site where they can look at there pay stubs it's on the main page. They have to print them out. Plus most bases do have a tax center where they can file there taxes for free and they get all the help they need :) hope that helps.

He needs to go to the mypay website to get his W-2.

If he is in GL, there are a lot of VITA tax rep's who will do his taxes for free for him. There are VITA tax rep's in bldg 616 2nd deck near the LPO's office, and in 2B on the first deck. If he is in HM "A" school, not sure where the VITA reps work over there.
