Well, I'm not a submariner mom yet (my son is a nuke, still in school, but hopes to be on a sub), but I certainly plan to be sending in another couple of blankets for this boat. I think it would be great one day if he recognized one of my throws on another sailor's rack!

This is truely a prolific group. We managed to produce 38 afghans for the USS Mason!!! I am so proud of you all. I wonder how many we will get for the Tennessee.....

I think this group is fantastic!!! I am going to start working on my first afghan now!! I have crocheted scarves and small things but never an afghan, so this will be fun. My son Justin is in Goose Creek SC for A School, and his classes are supposed to start on Monday 3/2/09.

Hi, it's Sue. I have a son on the Kentucky and I have another afghan to send out. After reading in the knit for the navy site I see we're still doing afghans. I will be sending another one (or two if I can get mine done-the one that's done is my mothers second one that we've sent and I can't seem to finish one!--lol) Anyway, I'll be sending another one out soon!
