Moving

I am so stressed and worried b/c my husband has to be in Norfolk VA by next Friday and we still have not been able to contact the moving comapnay. I feel like we keep getting the run around and no one is sending us in the right direction. We have to be out of the apt by June 1st and we are the 28th. Who can we call or who do we talk to to get in contact with someone who can schedule a pick up date? If anyone has any info please let me know. Thanlks so mich

Has he gotten in touch with the housing office in the area you live in to set up a date for the movers to come pack you out and move you?

You don't just call the movers and they come that day, it has to be scheduled well in advance for the movers to move you. Sometimes they pack one day and come back the next day to load it out and move you.

We have and they gave us the # to West Point but when I call west point they say they cant help us b/c they only schedule pick ups for people that are moving to west point.I DONT KNOW WHO TO CALL

Are you near a base of any kind, any branch? He is ultimately responsible for making sure the move happens. He must call the housing office and the personal property office and get things moving. A sailor has a thousand people he can ask to help him find the right contacts. If he says the Navy is keeping him too busy, that's just a new sailor who's afraid to ask the chain of command for help.
