Navy For Moms

I did a lot of praying on what to say to my daughter who is the youngest before her deployment to Afghanistan. After spending 18 years raising her and upon her graduation from High School she was off to Boot Camp. The first phone call from Basic was "Mom it is a piece of cake"! Now 5 years later she has re-enlisted and made a choice to do Medivac in a war zone... She loves God her family and Country!
I have said and done everything and was at a loss, then God laid it on my heart what to say. She is saved and there will be those that are not and wouldn't thier families want to spend eternity with them? She had asked about witnessing so I sent her a "Chic" trac, Here is a copy of the letter.
Angelica,
You’re Grandfather and I agree on the last page of this book, right below
NOBODY ELSE CAN SAVE YOU TRUST JESUS TODAY! Romans 10:9 is all that is necessary, numbers 1-4 can be skipped unless time permit.
WHAT TO PRAY only if time permits.
The thief on the cross next to Jesus did not confess his sins for lack of time and Jesus told him, I will see you in paradise. It was by faith in Christ; confession (you are a sinner) would be ideal but is not necessary for salvation!
You can cut out the back page and laminate it or carry the book. I will send you a 44 page book titled “Dying Grace”, most of it you know but it will encourage you with words for those that are facing physical death.
I love you so very much and have COMPLETE FAITH that you will be returning home safe and sound. But if it be God’s will to call you home I take great joy in knowing we will be with the Lord together again!
Love always, Mom

Now I know this may seem a bit short and impersonable but everthing had been said and knowing NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS we will see each other again and EVERYONE DESERVES THE SAME OPPERTUNITY. It is a fact that not everyone will come home but every should have the chance to go home to the Lord.

Mother Duck, this deserves an "Amen". When you have a son or daughter in the Armed Forces, you need your faith. It is highly possible that my son will be going overseas and the thought is frightening, but I have to believe that God knows his future and I have to trust Him. I also trust that whatever happens, God will be there for me to help me deal with it. Thanks for the above post. It is so true.

Oh. God Bless you, for you are a Mother that has led her child in the path of righteousness. And may God Bless your daughter through out her life for this unselfish act. What she is about is obviously dangerous. But to know that she will be there for some of those young people as they take their last breath, to know they may have an opportunity to come to the Lord in their last moments becuase of her actions. Well..... what a powerful testimony this young woman will have. What a powerful testimony she is. Holy, Holy is His Name. To know your child has felt this call upon her heart, not just to be there for so many during the time some of them will suffer the most physically that they can, and be the most frightened they have ever known in their young lives, but that she also is feeling called to share her faith with them at that time. I can only say, that I truely believe you would have to have felt this weight upon your heart for you to prepare to do so ahead of time. What a blessing to have a daughter like her. May God Bless and keep you both ever safe in the palm of His Hand.
Love and Prayers,
Beverly Staton
