Do you mean your son has orders to report to a ship that is currently deployed? Have you added the ship's website address to your list of 'trusted sites'??

He is on the Bonhomme Richard(LHD)6 as a type this.He said the website would keep me updated as to where they have been.I got on a few times with no problem but can't now that he is on the ship.

Paula, what ship is he on? Let me see if I can access it. You may have to bypass the security warning.

Tracy:
It looks to me like the website has been pulled down. You may need to ask your son who the ombudsman is for his ship and have your son give the ombudsman your email address. All ships have an ombudsman and your son's should be sending out emails to all family members as to the status of the ship.
The ombudsman for my son's ship communicated directly with the CO, XO & CMC. They write email updates and the ombudsman distributes them to everyone on her list. They also include a lot of pictures. This only happens when they are deployed. When my son's ship is sitting in Norfolk at the pier, we do not get updates. Do you know if your son's ship is deployed or homeported?

they are going to be out for 6 to 7 months. The ship is up for an award and if it wins it will stay out an extra moth.He will go through the equator celebration.
