Navy For Moms

My son graduated from boot camp on Jan 9th! It was the most beautiful day of my life! I have never experienced such an honorable day or will I ever again! We stayed at the Ramada Waukegan on Green Bay Road and checked out Sunday the 11th! Ater our 9 hour drive home we were greeted with people anxiously waiting to see what we had recorded on our camcorder and the pictures I had taken! We unloaded our truck only to notice that our bag with the camcorder and camera never made it to the truck! I showed my son his graduation that Sat night and packed up both cameras and set them next to the safe in the room! I know for a fact those cameras never left our room and were left behind! I immediately called the hotel and was givin the run around untill Wed afternoon when I was told sorry but my cameras were never recovered! I have posted a lost and found on craigs list, I have contacted the Waukegan Police Dept, I called all the local pawn shops most of them were very nice the other half would not help me untill I sent them a copy of the police report ( I am still waiting on that), I searched ebay I have done everything I can think of...does anybody have any other suggestions? My Dad recently passed away and some of his funeral services were also on those cameras along with many other irreplacable memories! I am so desperate! I even thought about offering a reward at the hotel just for the safe return of the memory sticks!!! IThe cameras are a Kodak Easy Share Z1012 IS and a Sony Handycam DCRSR45! Anybody any advice?

I am so sorry to hear this. How heartbreaking. I hope someone is honest and returns them.

Who knows, perhaps someone at the hotel will post your reward and someone will come through with them.

you could ask a mom heading down there for PIR to post a notice on bullitin message board. It was on the wall rite befor you turn the corner to go to the gift shop/work out room. When I was there, there was lots of letters and stuff from sailor family's as well as the usualy unlock your car, taxi and free kitten notices.
