Pregnancy in C school

What is the policy for getting pregnant in c school and what happens next what are the next steps to the female and male Sailors career in the service? will she get kicked out or is she entitled to continue her career without penalties? thanks a lot just a thought.

She won't get kicked out. She may be allowed to finish her C school, but much depends on what she is doing.If she is exposed to hazardous materials or harsh working conditions, she will not be allowed to stay in that situation. She may lose her school temporarily, but since it is a C school, that won't affect her career much, just change her day to day job in the fleet. C schools aren't that hard to come by.

She should get a medical diagnosis of pregnancy as soon as possible from the base clinic. She must inform her school command as soon as she can. Don't hide it, that will get her in trouble!

If she is fraternizing with a male sailor, there may be penalties, but possibly not. depends if she is going to school with him or if he is in charge of her. A word of advice, if she has been involved with a sailor in her chain of command, don't advertise it here. That's not good for her career. The way you worded it, I assume she is not married.

She will be assigned to shore duty once she is at 20 weeks, and can possibly stay there for one year. She will be required to work, but there are limits on what she will be allowed to do, and how many hours she can work in one week (40 hours). She will be given BAH so she can find housing before the delivery.. After, she will have convalescent leave which will not count against her regular leave days. She will go to sea and serve her sea duty rotation later. She will need to file a family care plan, outlining who will care for her child while she is at work, on duty or at sea.
